Corta Atalaya Golf Riotinto

This historic Club was founded in the 19th Century by engineers at the Rio Tinto copper mine. Always a rustic course with oiled sand"green" Corta Atalay" was kept alive by successive mine employees. In 1990 the course was rebulit on a new site, also part of the mine, but now boasts seeded tees and greens. Fairways are bare earth so the Club provides carpets of artificial grass to facilitate play. The course is 2,300 metres long with one par-5, four par-4’s and four par-3’s.
